Concerns & multi-mechanic assignment
Split a job into individual customer concerns, each with its own parts, labour and estimate — and assign a different mechanic to each concern for jobs where specialty matters (the same mechanic can just as easily work multiple concerns, or use "Assign to all" when one person's doing the whole car). Parts requests carry the same concern tag from the moment they're raised, straight through to the estimate — so it's always clear which complaint a part is for, and that stays editable up until you send it.

Customer estimate approval
Send an estimate as a link — the customer approves or declines line by line on their own phone. Decline something and change your mind later? The same link can be reopened and revised. Send a single estimate, or select several open estimates on one job and combine them into one link. Need to send an updated estimate after some items are already approved? A fresh, single-use link goes out every time, with the already-approved items pinned to the top and locked in, and just the new or still-pending items open for a decision.

From approval to invoice
Parts used on the job deduct automatically from inventory as they're billed. An estimate can still be sent to the customer even while the car is marked in progress, and sending it doesn't reset the job's status backward — it just stays In Progress (or wherever it's got to) while the update goes out. When the job wraps up, generate a GST invoice directly from the same job card — no re-entering line items. Job cards are a permanent record rather than something you delete: a job closes out by moving its status to Delivered once billed, or Cancelled if the customer doesn't take up the estimate.
