Parts requests, priced and tracked
A worker on the floor raises a parts request against a job card, tagging each part with the customer concern it's for. It gets priced, ordered and its status tracked — everyone from the mechanic to the front desk sees exactly where a part stands, instead of chasing it over calls. A vehicle only ever has one running request at a time — a second request for the same job merges straight into the first instead of creating a duplicate, and Parts can add a freshly-found item to an already-open request at any point, so a job can be partially estimated: some parts already priced and ordered while a new one is still pending.

Preferred vendors
Add the vendors your workshop orders from regularly in Settings, and they show up as a dropdown the moment a part gets marked Ordered — no retyping a supplier name on every purchase. Pick "Other…" for a one-off vendor without cluttering the list.
